JOURORA Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 1, 2026
Last updated: August 28, 2026

JOURORA is a journal made for young women aged 11 to 18, created by Welltress Living Company LLC ("Welltress," "we," "us," or "our"). We take the privacy of young people seriously, and we have written this policy in plain language so that both journalers and their parents or guardians can understand it.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to:

  • the JOURORA journal and any inserts, cards, or printed materials that come with it;

  • our website at jourorajournal.com (the "Site");

  • our online shop, email newsletters, and text messages; and

  • any digital prompts, downloadable workbooks, or online features we may offer in the future (together with the Site, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. A note for young journalers

Your journal is yours. What you write inside a JOURORA journal is private. We never see it, we never collect it, and we never ask you to share it with us.

If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to help you with anything online — creating an account, signing up for emails, or buying from our shop. We are not allowed to collect personal information from you online without their permission.

If you are 13 to 17, you may use parts of the Services yourself, but we still encourage you to involve a parent or guardian, and they can contact us at any time about your information.

2. A note for parents and guardians

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information without your consent, please email us at alexandra@jourorajournal.com and we will delete it promptly.

You have the right, at any time, to:

  • review the personal information we have collected from your child;

  • ask us to delete that information;

  • refuse to allow any further collection or use of your child's information.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We may ask you to verify your identity as the parent or guardian before acting on a request.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Purchase information — name, shipping address, billing address, email address, and phone number when you (or a parent) order a journal from our shop. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment provider (Section 6); we do not store full card numbers.

  • Account information — if you create an account: name, email address, password, and date of birth or age range (so we know whether parental consent is needed).

  • Communications — anything you send us by email, contact form, text, or social media.

  • Newsletter sign-ups — email address and, optionally, first name.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site we may collect device type, browser type, IP address, pages viewed, time spent, and referring website, through cookies and similar technologies (Section 8). We do not use this information to build advertising profiles of anyone under 18.

Information we do NOT collect

  • We do not collect what you write in your physical journal.

  • We do not collect precise location data.

  • We do not collect biometric data.

  • We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 without parental consent.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • process and ship orders, and send order confirmations and receipts;

  • create and manage accounts and confirm parental consent where required;

  • respond to questions and provide customer support;

  • send newsletters, new journal announcements, and offers — only where you have signed up, and you can unsubscribe at any time;

  • keep the Services safe, secure, and working properly;

  • understand how the Site is used so we can improve it;

  • comply with law and protect our legal rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not show targeted advertising to minors, and we do not use the personal information of anyone under 18 for behavioral advertising.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the business — for example our e-commerce platform Wix, payment processor Stripe, email marketing provider, shipping carriers, and website hosting. They may use the information only to provide services to us.

  • Legal and safety — if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the safety of a young person or others.

  • Business transfers — if Welltress is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not share children's personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, your card details go directly to them and are governed by their privacy policy. We receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits of the card only.

7. Email and text messages

You will only receive marketing emails or texts if you (or your parent, if you are under 13) have signed up. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can stop texts by replying STOP. We will still send transactional messages, such as order confirmations and shipping updates.

8. Cookies

The Site uses cookies and similar tools to remember your cart, keep you signed in, and understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning off cookies may affect how parts of the Site work. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on pages directed at young people.

9. Keeping information safe

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable service providers — to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.

10. How long we keep information

  • Order and account information: for as long as your account is active and as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes (typically up to 7 years).

  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.

  • Information collected from a child under 13: only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose it was collected for, then deleted.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain uses. Parents and guardians can exercise these rights on behalf of their children.

  • Update or delete your account—sign in and edit your details, or email us.

  • Unsubscribe—use the link in any email or reply STOP to any text.

  • Request your data—email alexandra@jourorajournal.com; we will respond within 30 days.

Residents of California and certain other U.S. states, as well as the UK and EU, may have additional rights under local law. We honor these rights regardless of where you live, to the extent we are able.
